Best Battery for a Boondocker?

Anything electric, AC or DC

Steve,
What kind of LED display are you using? Does it show how many amps the panels are putting off as well as what the battery is taking in?

I just checked with Costco and their 6v GC batteries w/ 220AH @ 20 hours are $79 + $9 core (if you don't have an exchange). I think that 2 of these and an 85w of solar should be more than enough for my minimal electrical needs.
BTW, I checked with 2 Costco's and one had a price of $89 and the other had a price of $79. So, worth calling around.

I have this regulator

Ebay Regulator

With this remote display

Display for regulator

It shows th panels output (Amps and Volts), input in to the battery, total from the panel for the day and into the battery for the day, total load (if you use the load for you hookup) and quite a bit more :)

Works really well.

Cheers
Steve

Steve,

Thank you for the information on expense!

Waiting for "someday" will leave you on your deathbed wondering why you didn't just rearrange your priorities and enjoy the time you had, instead of waiting for a "better" time to come along...
