Tent electricity center?

Postby H@nk » Sun Oct 21, 2007 6:27 pm

Hello all builders,

What do you think, should I use a tent electricitycenter in the teardrop?
It is not so hard for me to say that I am not realy a star in doing things with 220 volt or even 12 volt. From the time we where tent camping, we had a center with 5 contacts to put everything in. It has also such a (my wordbooks are gone) green and yellow stripes wire in it, that is going to shut of the 220 when you have a problem. Now I am writing this, it reminds me one time in france when I had a problem and telling this to a frenchman in my best french. :? :? :?

Hi John,

I shall post a picture in my album. First I have to dig it out of the mess in the garage.
If you like, I can give you lessons in Dutch.
First lesson: Ik ga mijn eigen caravan bouwen.

If you want anymore, just say it.

Greeting Henk

:applause:  To make the picture big you click on the picture in the album and then copy the URL.

Great picture and we don't really have anything like that here but several that do the same thing is 120vac.

In our language there is a GFCI, maybe a circuit breaker, and 5 outlets. Looks like a good system and no reason you can't use it. ;)

Hello Jules,

Let me play a little bit teacher now.

You say english is the most fav language in the world.
Better don't forget, that long time ago, when New york was sold to the englishmen, they had been voting for the language in all America.
At that time it was only a diferent of one vote between english and dutch.
What had happend when the bascule was the other way? Than was dutch the most fav language in the whole world

Hi Stewards,

Your teacher did a good job.
When you ever come to Europe, contract me, we go together to the 24 hours of Le Mans, there you can speak all day long the language you learned long time ago.

i remember when me and a bunch of friends use to go to car shows we would tent it and we had 1 extra tent that had a bunch of batterys invertors and something similar to this except not so water proof with a generator outside then we would all run a cord into our own tents from the "power" tent

this seems to be similar except it requires shore power instead of my home brew battery setup
