another useful gadget: GFI receptacle tester

Postby nikwax » Tue Dec 11, 2007 10:45 am

I picked up one of these from Harbor Freight for under $10, it's very useful during construction and around the house, and I imagine it could be very useful at a campground to test shore power. HF part number 32907.

It works as a regular receptacle tester to verify that the wiring is correct and grounded, and the GCI tester induces a fault to assure that the GCI trips properly.

Most definitely a good thing.... You can test the validity of shore power in camp spot before hooking up!...

Great tool to have along....

Absolutely!!!

First thing I do when arriving at the campsite is check the power at the campground pole.
