There is a world, just beyond now,
where reality runs a razor thin seam between fact and possibility;

Anywhere I roam where I lay my head is home....

There is lots of information on this web site, click sdtrippers2's Index above, and do a search.
Before you make decisions you will need to figure out what your electric load is likely to be. As an example using LED lights reduces demand dramatically, using computer case fans instead of a fantastic fan reduces demand.
If your demands are minimal and length of camping stay not too long then solar or wind or generator may not be necessary. On the other hand if you have a TV and 12V coffee maker and... then your needs will be greater.

Sounds like a Christmas list!
Long time researching the abandoned South Pennsylvania Railroad along the Pennsylvania Turnpike. God will guide me. As he has done so in the past. southpennrailroad.com

I have LED lights, a 175 watt inverter that runs the laptop and charges some electronics.

I have deep cycle battery that connects to a 12 volt wire from my SUV. A day's driving easily charges the battery for 3-4 days use. Also, in the storage box where the battery is I have a marine battery charger that I kept from an old boat. When I'm at a plug in site I plug it in so the battery always stays charged. I've never had an issue. BTW, I do have 4 computer fans mounted in the ceiling vent instead of a regular RV fan. Like the led lights they don't use much power at all.
Conform and be dull.
