I saw a battery brain the other day that cut off the battery at 10.1V to prevent a deep cycle battery from geting too discharged. Anybody use this? Any other ideas on preventing a battery from over discharging?

10.1V seems a mite low. I think the damage would be done. I use an alarm set to 12V. Then I still have power when it droops to 11.9V, if I want it. The 10.1V kill switch might be good as a final line of defense, though.

I'm with you, 10.1 is way too low, the battery is probably toast by then.

You got a schematic for your alarm, or a source to buy one?
