help, I need a breaker box and breakers

Postby universal_exports » Sun Apr 15, 2012 8:21 pm

i am at a loss, I know very little about electrical to this extent,

I recently purchased a small Shasta camper, it did not come with any outlets inside, at all.

I plan on running a TV, AC, a 1800 watt induction cooktop, microwave, 3 lights, and a refrigerator.

I have no idea what I need, I will be running a 110 Volt AC unit. at 5 amps and 565 watts,

I have been looking at the 30 amp breaker boxes, but they only have one breaker, can someone point me in the right direction?

I think I need like a 30 and 2 twenties maybe, but where do you find a box for that?

thanks in advance

If your looking stricktly for 110 vlt then look for a 4 space sub panel can be upped to 8 circuit using mini breakers
Put in a 30 amp for a main, 20 amp for AC 20 amp for induction hot plate and you have two 15 amp cicuits to split up for everything else, more then sufficient.

If it ain't broke, fix it till it is

Here is one that i built, but first the disclaimer – By far I am not a professional electrician. I have rudimentary knowledge of electricity and above average wiring skills – enough to get me in trouble sometimes. However I strive to do things right and safety is a must. If electrical wiring is beyond your skill level, get someone who is both knowledgeable and professional! I make no claims to the reliability of the above other than it is my own design. You have been warned.
