I picked up 2 computer fans at the local landfill today but they each have 3 wires. Black, blue and red. Which of these do I hook to Pos and which to Neg?. Are they perhaps 2 speed fans?

Typically... computer fans are wired as follows:
Pin/Function/Wire Color
1/Ground/Black
2/+12 V/Red or yellow
3/Fan Speed Sensor/Yellow, white or green
4/PWM Control/Blue
