uber cheap LED lighting

Hey guys, My buddy posted this on another forum for his cab over camper. I just order a 10 of LEDS for 10 bucks shipped and going to convert my new fixtures. He has a great write up. Sorry if this has been covered before just wanted to share.

I use similar 12 VDC LED strips for much of the lighting in my teardrop. But they were given to me and I don't know a maker or source, so can't comment on specifics.

It's pretty easy to build fixtures for those lights, I just drop a strip 18" - 48" in a piece of plastic tube. White tube for diffuse light, clear tube for direct light. You can glue them to the underside of cabinets, or the back of closet doors. That form factor offers lots of possibilities.
