How does my DC setup look?

Like many, the electrical side of building is what I'm least comfortable with. I've tried to do my homework, but some things I'm still not 100% on.

This is my planned setup(links/description below):


I'm planning on boondocking or camping in tent camping areas that only have normal 120v outlets. I also don't ever intend on incorporating any appliances into my build, so I don't plan on wiring for AC

From the outlet, I'm using a charger inlet

wired to a CTEK Multi US 7002 12V Battery Charger

hooked up to a group 27 deep cycle battery (haven't found the right one yet).

From the battery, I'll hook up a Blue Sea Systems 5028 ST Blade Fuse Block

to which I'll connect all of my electrics: Fantastic fan, 2 large LED lights, and 2-3 12v outlets

Can anyone see any problems with/ give me advice on this setup?

If you're planning on being near 120v outlets anyhow, why not incorporate some ac lights or fans in your system? If only as back-ups? A small 400watt inverter can power those same items, just from the battery, if needed. When you have the 120vac charging your battery, you can use ac accessories as well, and let the battery stand in reserve for another time. 120vac at 10-15amps can do a lot of work; the 12vdc battery will need a little recovery time, if expected to do the same amount of work, and be ready for the next demand. This may be the only case where I'll publicly state that "going both ways" is a good thing.

I don't doubt that I could use it, I just don't think that I actually need it. Also, if I can avoid buying an inverter and double the wire, etc., that would be nice.
The converter/charger combo I linked is capable of directly powering my DC electrics at the same time as charging the battery (or even without a battery connected). Is there really a reason to include redundant AC items instead of letting it power the battery and fan at the same time while plugged in?

Setup looks good. Only change I'd make is connecting a quality Tripp Lite ISOBAR surge suppressor like this one: http://www.amazon.com/Tripp-Lite-ISOBAR4-Isobar-Protector/dp/B00005119M/ref=pd_sim_pc_3 to the power inlet. Then plugging the battery charger into it. There isn't any reason to add an inverter if you don't feel you need it.

Thanks Bogo. The fuse box I got does recommend a primary breaker before the battery, and this would give me a couple 120v outlets in the galley while plugged in without having to wire for AC. Great suggestion!
