electrical in Tongue Box

I have a PD4045 and my battery waiting for my build to progress far enough to get installed. I was reading the instruction sheet that came with the 4045 and it said that it should be located in the LP Gas or Battery Compartment. I assume this is to not spark and flammable gasses. Before I read that, my idea was to install it in the tongue box with the Propane and Battery. The tongue box design calls for an open steel mesh bottom, and Plywood sides. I was thinking that I would make 3 compartment for the Tank, the battery and the PD unit. Kind of like 3 boxes in 1 with each getting it own access door. Does this design meet the separate compartment requirement or do I need to move the PD to the galley (seems like a lot of space in the galley would be used up by it).

Any comments and/or concerns?

The problem I see is water/spray getting up to the electronics. We have the solar controller sitting on top of the AGM battery inside the tongue box with the propane in front of but still mounted to the tongue. There is now a bigger battery and two solar controllers on top of the battery.
