Battery charger

I know i have seen folks use battery chargers to convert 110 to 12 volt . My question is does anyone have a recomendation for a charger and is it save. The power inverter that i used on my camper burnd up yeasteday.

a bit confused......you've mentioned a converter and inverter in same conversation.......a CONverter changes 120v to 12v, while an INverter changes 12v to 120v.....

Battery converter/charger Progressive dynamics hands down one of the best. Inverter depends on what you are running.
