I've never felt the need for 120V, so three thumbs up.

You'll need a fuse box, some 2-wire 16 gauge cable (red and black) and your fixtures. Lights, fan, phone charger, 12V outlet for anything else like a 12v electric blanket.

Pn the generic benroy plans pdf that I got it said to use 12 gauge wire for 120v and 12v circuits. So I need to use 16 right?

And do you als know what kind of control panel o need for my solar panel and 12 v battery?

As stated many times;

(1) Battery : SLA, AGM, Lithium(?) 12V ??AH

(2) high amp fuse at the battery positive terminal (fuses are your friends)

(3) Master switch ( to allow disconnecting everything at one spot )

(4) Fuse panel -- SeaBlue is great

(5) Bigger gauge wires from battery to master switch and fuse panel ( 8 awg??) as all the current for all the devices flows through this section of the wiring.

(6) Wiring : wire two wires to each item ( positive and negative ) Do not ground everything to the frame. BTW 12 awg is bigger than 16 awg (smaller the number, bigger the wire). Watch the high draw items. For the small difference in price, the bigger gauge is worth it.

(7) Devices:

(8) Battery charger : multi-stage is better

(9) GFCI 120 15A Outlet plus wire to connection from inside to outside. (15 A flush mount power inlet )

(10) Solar: you need a solar controller, preferably a MPPT plus cabling to the panel (MC4 10awg ??)

(11) Possible Towing Vehicle (TV) charging system : Fuse, solenoid switched to ignition, high gauge wire, connector from vehicle to trailer. After that you need to decide if you want DC-to-DC charger or do DC to AC (inverter) to DC ( Charger) or just connect the TV wires to the battery

16 gauge, of course is thinner than 12 gauge. For the amps I draw, 16 gauge is plenty. I can't imagine a 12V device that needs 12 gauge. Someone will probably chime in and give me an example, though. Part of the gauge size is how far the run is. The longer the wire, the smaller the gauge needs to be. But hey, we're talking teardrops here.

The poster above mentioned lithium batteries. Most of us use 12V marine batteries. I've got a Group 27 that's really too big. When it's dead, I'll downsize to a Group 24.
