Those wooden legs look like they're worth a shot.


For my old folders, I used a couple of legs off a junker camera tripod I had. They were adjustable and worked great.

these 100w panels are big and heavy (I know all the specs were posted before I bought them, but they didn't really sink in until they showed up the other day). I think after my trip next weekend, I'm going to prioritize finding a way to mount them on the roof that will allow me to pull them off and chase the sun if I need to.

Because otherwise, I don't have a great way to transport them so they're both protected and out of the way.

I've seen folks use these:

and rig up some sort of quick release pin, but I don't know how. the renogy page doesn't really give any info about how these brackets attach to the panels. Any thoughts on this?

FWIW, found details from someone to did a qr system on the roof with these mounts. he used cotterless hitch pins through the Renogy mounts and the frame of the panel.
