Would this work ???
Some car LED light strips and a small battery like a 21hr unit.
I forgot the mathematics on this but they wouldn't be used alot.

You need to know how much power the LEDs consume and compare that to the battery's usable capacity.

So a 21Ahr lead acid battery has about 10Ahr usable capacity (if lithium more like 17 or 18).

Say the LEDs are rated 24 watts. 24w/12v=2amps.

10 amp hours/ 2 amp = 5 hours. You could run those lights around 5 hours in that case.

After looking around, I can get a set with a smaller and more powerful battery pack or power pack I can usb charge. Probably a better option.
Anyone have these ?

Not sure this is applicable but...

I bought a set of three of these lights that recharge with USB in an hour or two and work well. They have lasted over a month with the original charge on my basement steps. These particular ones communicate with each other with bluetooth (I think), if fairly close by, and are motion activated or can be switched on if dark enough. If I build another TD I'll install some on the teardrop where I want motion activated light. They are not reading lights. They are mostly night lights for navigating after dark. They attach with a magnet to an included "Command Strip" type adhesive on the back of a metal disk you can stick on any surface or without the strip to a metal (ferromagnetic metal) surface.

They are Wyze brand but have been sold out for a while. There are other brands out there...
