the politics of the WWII memorial is being proven by the fact the Lincoln memorial and the rest were not fenced off during the 17th. The park service workers were directed to close the WWII memorial to keep honor flight veterans out and "cause the most pain" (something they don't understand). The same thing is happeing in Normandy France at the veiwing areas, and the blue ridge parkway. the fact they can afford fencing (not just barriers and police tape like the first day) and gaurds on a privately funded and operated (I donated) memorial
