Chairs?

My little dude will be two this year and I keep looking for a folding chair that will work for him with no luck. Has anyone found anything that will fit a little guy?

Hey look in the seasonal section of Target. They have all sorts of play picnic stuff for kids. Lil tables too.

Yeah I got sick of those bag chairs too. Though they are fine to sit in, they can be difficult to get out because the arms are floppy.

I put these on my Secret Santa Christmas list but I didn't get them. Luckily, my wife put them on her list and got them.

I just purchased these same chairs at Costco for $23 and change each yesterday. They seem to be very sturdy and the side table attached to each chair is handy. It appears to be solid aluminum instead of tubing to me.

Hi,

I found the "bungie loungers" at wallmat they were nice but I felt like I was going to topple over backwards in recline... that would be a sight.

I found more at Camp World here in Portland they cost about twice as much but I feel they are better. The are padded and seem better build.

So far I'm leaning towards a couple from Camp World would cost about $220.00 for the ones I like.

Still open for ideas!

Thanks for the tips. We almost got the Coleman however Target finally came through with little plain black folding camp chair for the little dude. (It was getting a bit frustrating looking for something for kids without Dora or Diego plastered all over it for the last nine months).

there's another thread on here about a camping chair...l made from plywood....
it was for the most part just seat, back and legs - without any
armrests (at least in its present configuration.... but modifications
are best thing in life.... next to a perfect invention)

We have 2 like Miriam's also. Bought ours at Wal-Mart at the 2006 Fort Chiswell Va. meet for about $50 each. ... And we love them and have used them at every camping since then.

I bought the most expensive camp chairs I have ever seen. But they came highly recommended and they are great chair.
Before you click, they are $129 each.
But they are totally packable into a small space.
And they hold my dead weight of 220 pound.
Oh, and there's an optional non-tip beer holder. That was important.

Hows about one of these, they are neat because you can break them down and nestle the two pieces together. A friend of mine made one for his mountain man gear and they are pretty comfy.

Two design choices, one you push the sides together so when folded it stays the same size front to back but flattened side to side. Second type folds sides in and get longer in the other axis top to bottom.

A third type perhaps the oldest design fold front to back and often allow for stacking used in church or school meetings. Last one is less comfortable IMHO having sat in them for many hours at meetings or fund raisers.

I like first two for comfort depending the the individual chair maker. Prefer the second that elongates getting smaller in two of three dimensions. Bought a nice one in Walmart for $20 and another in Sams. They fit in smaller spaces like a roof box over my car. One of mine has a shoulder strap for easy carrying and a locking piece that keeps it folded.

Have two adjustable lounge types very comfortable but much heavier and fold flat but still fairly large and heavy. Bought mine through mail order from Costco for $100 each. Think the French invented but we improved the design and made them for much less $$$.

If you have a Cabela's near you, they sell their brand of the bungee recliner. Sometime they have a great sale. We got ours for $50 each instead of the usual $150.

About $4.00 don't fold. kinda heavy but they hold 300 + and can double as jack stands if you need them to .



I built 6 and have just painted them in bright primary colors. They just look happier now

I don't have any pictures of them , but I use the Coleman Camp Chairs. My father In Law had a heavy duty Coleman camp chair built similiar to asianflava's chair, and that chair held up pretty good for heavier individuals.

My camp chair story: I had awakened one morning after a windy night in our camp, realizing that the new camp chair I had bought my son had blown over during the night into the hot coals of the camp fire and burned.

Yea I know, I should of insured the fire was totally out before going to bed.

Anyone ever build any Adirondack chairs? I always wanted to but never got around to it. I think it's project #312 on my list of things to do!

The bag chairs I've been camping with for years were very heavy canvas and once they got caught in the rain it was a while before they dried out. I've bought a couple of Coleman Inflatable Scoop Chairs for a great deal on
ebay. I have tried these out in the living room and they are super comfortable, but have not camped with them yet. Here is what they look like, but I will post actual camping photos once it quits raining in NC and I can camp
Several of my camping buddies have the bungie chairs and they are awesome, but pricey. I got both of these chairs for $25 shipping included. We'll see how they work and last.
