Good to see you posting again, Guy!!

Ikea should open near the airport in the spring. Construction has begun.

Both daughters are keeping a vigil with almost-hourly progress. I saw this on the web and started to sweat:

We need to meet sometime, bledsoe3! Goodness knows we probably pass each other on the freeway now and then!

Mike, I bet you are glad you kept that mattress now. Sounds like it is going to work out great for you and Chell.

Yep Jim,

I posted a PM to you a couple days ago. The mattress did work out well.

And btw, if anyone is interested in cutting mattress foam, the electric carving knife works wonders! :o

I don't think WM has the 6" anymore. I looked at some stores and their website for one. I ended up getting the 8". I haven't regretted it, it's as comfy as my home bed.

Send me a PM and we'll see what works. I have Friday, Saturday and Sundays off.

Nothing like replying to an old thread! But the tip about the carving knife sounds great, since my tear won't fit any standard sized bed. :D

As Mike said, it works like a charm. I didn't have one and needed to cut my mattress. I found a cheap one on eBay and it cut the foam like butter.
Now I plan to keep it for Thanksgiving

Another vote for the WallyWorld memory foam. Love it. Kids say it's the best sleeper in (outside) the house.

We also got the 6" wallyworld mattress via online ship to store about 3 months ago. Have been very happy with it. I did need to cut it down @ two inches on the sides to make making up the bed easier. Didn't have an electric knife, used a regular bread (serrated) knife and did the job quite easily.

You bettcha. Made a quilt just for the tear! I like the option for lighter/heavier blankets depending on the weather. Even have a 12 V bed warmer like the big rig truckers have, although we haven't had a chance to test it out yet.Image
