Any one use the Cabelas 17x15 Eagles Camp Screenhouse? I laid out the tent's basic shape for my 5x8 TD design and it looks like a good amount of room around it. I was looking at the Eureka Northern Breeze (12x12 with good TD reviews), but, at over twice the price (Eureka doesn't make any junk, Cabelas sells some junk) and limited availability I am leaning toward the Eagles Camp.

I picked up the 15x17 screen tent and set it up. I have yet to build my tear, but, it appears it will fit over my 5x8 version. The wall don't angle up at too sharp of an angle so you lose little ground space around the edges. I will look into modifying one wall so I can stick the tongue out a wall to make even more room. It seems to be of decent quality for the price ($150). Only one door, but, that will do. Good quality zipper. I may do some extra hand stitches next time I set it up to reinforce some stress areas.

The TD is almost done. Roadworthy anyway! Thought I would share my results on my first try at putting the screen tent over it. I'm not a big Cabelas fan, it's just the biggest stock screen tent I could find and ran about $150. I would add a vestibule to the tongue side if I knew how or knew someone with the skills to do it.

And I was able to set it up myself fairly simply. Put roof poles in all around. Get under the center and lift it over the closed TD. Install the legs and after rotating it a bit to position the door where it would work I staked it down.

Just a shout out about this Cabela's Eagle's Camp screen tent (15'x17')...

I have modified the tongue side wall with two velcro closable slits over my a-frame tongue. It now sits nicely between my tongue box and the TD. That gives me access to the tongue box from outside (which wasn't possible before I modified it). It works out great and I have even more room in the galley area than I did when pictured above (maybe an extra 12").

THE BEST PART... these just went on clearance sale at Cabelas for $89 plus $5 shipping if you order $99 worth of stuff... Better hurry as stock is limited. And they now have one less after I ordered another for my second TD build to start shortly.
