I guess I must be spoilt, I live only 25 klms from Rockhampton and there is this wonderful store there.

They have everything you can think of and even more. It is all readily available off the shelf which is a great blessing. Their catalog is full of great stuff. I also bought all my recovery gear from here as it's cheaper than buying from a 4x4 specialist and I know exactly what I am getting.

My greatest fear, if I'm not employing certified chain and shackles etc. is what the insurance company would say/do if I had an accident and poor quality fittings (ie, not certified) were found to be the cause of the accident or contributed to someone being severely injured or worse.

We are talking two different countries but the failure of the safety chains had no effect in the insurance company settlement with ours.
