Is a link to a mobility scooter trailer. It presents an interesting design theory - a trailer that splits the difference between a single-wheel design and a traditional two-wheel trailer.
A single-wheel requires a special hitching design, because if it was on a standard ball-mount, it would just tip over.
This uses two wheels, so it's more stable. However, this design has a square tongue, which just slides into a standard square receiver - effectively making it an extension to the vehicle. It would increase turning radius, but the rigid mount, combined with the swivel wheels, would make reversing a breeze.
I really have nothing else to add, I just wanted to share this concept as another possibility for a trailer design.
