I think know what Andrew is talking about, the driveshaft trying to flip the trailer if it is airborne.

It has nothing to do with the wheels or tires but the driveshaft connected to the trailer. It probably wouldn't flip the trailer because unless the driveshaft is coaxially mounted with the hitch, the hitch would probably bind up the driveshaft. If the driveshaft IS the hitch, then I'd wonder the same thing as Andrew.

The driveshaft is coaxial with the hitch (see the excellent description in the link from Andrew :thumbsup: ), but as Trackstriper explained, there must be something to resist applied torque to have a torque reaction.

I would be more concerned about the torque reaction while solidly planted on the ground.

I think the real answer is: what lunatic would dare get any part of this rig airborne! :lol:

This would make a great Youtube video: Get the trailer airborne then apply only the trailer brakes.... :twisted:
