Bolting a torsion axle thru frame

Postby Ralf » Wed Oct 24, 2007 9:42 pm

I welded my torsion axle perches to the 2x2x1/8 square tube. There are bolt holes in the perches. would it be overkill to bolt them to the frame with 1/2 in. Grade 8 bolts? Would the bolt holes weaken the frame?

Ralf, it should be absolutely fine(as long as your welds are good)...the bolts would gross overkill.......
