Our 2005 XB hauled Chubby 800 miles 1st outing. He weighs in at 975 "my best quess" . The hitch should have the rating on the reciever. I am guessing this it a stealth hitch and receiver. Most folks on this forum are scratching their heads trying to figure out what we are talking about. I am assuming that your ball mount is almost a big "u" with a flat for the ball. This ball mount slides in from the bottom into the receiver then pins. I had never seen one before I bought this Scion. When the ball mount is remover there is NO hint that a trailer hitch is installed , hince Stealth hitch! Since the reciever and ball mount are supplied as a set I as confident that as long as I did not exceed the recievers total capacity I was fine.

Marvin,

A picture might help... I'll measure my hitch in a bit, the one that put a dent into the side of my car...

Mike...

The quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten, so build your teardrop with the best materials...
