Sorry I couldn't resist.

You are wanting to cantaliever out 1 foot each side and add 2 feet to the length and if I guess right want to know if you if you need to extend the metal frame . I have a 5'7" by 9'6" on a hf axle set and I speak with experience DON"T DO IT !

The trailer you are trying to build will be at the heavy side of this little frames capabilities.

I can offer my three best avenues

#1 Find an old popup frame > Thet are generally 6 wide already and you can cantaliever the length as far as you want. They are sprung heavy enough for your build.

#2 Buy a larger flatbed trailer with heavier springs and a little more steel.

#3 Spend the time and money on a custom built frame with a set of torsion axles. With this axle set up the ride difference is amazing. They independently step across bumps and you don't find your cargo scrambled upon arrival. TV's don't bonce off of your dutch oven and clocks no longer walk to the edge of shelves and dive of like lemings into the sea.

You are about to spend $1500 to $2000 dollars on a build. Saving $75 to $150 by buying a frame that you will not be happy with is like building a house with no foundation.

Chubby is on a hybrid frame I have $75.00 in it . It is a Harbor freight axle and tongue and a hybrid frame. I scrounged and scrounged and still have $900.00 in my build. Am I happy ? Yes and no ! For a 1st build it does most everything I ask but it does not want to tow above 60 MPH. Not a good thing on the Interstate. Anyone who builds on the HF frame should extend the tongue at least 18" with 2x2 square tube. This does 2 things gives the tongue added strength which it sorely needs and by extending the tongue forward the pulling characteristics are greatly improved. I have 2 trailers on HF frames and they are a good starter frame for the smaller builds 4x8 4x9 maybe even a light 5 wide but you are asking a lot more than you realize.

Just my overly large load of hot air. I'll get off my soap box and set down now !
