Is the above the most typical trailer bought for 1st time drop builders? If not, which one is it?

I used a 5x8 trailer sold by Northern Tool. It's normal price was $330. I paid $300.

Do you have a link for that trailer? That is cheap for a 5X8.

I bought the same trailer as Tim, the stock # is 125976. It's only available in store as its already assembled (ie: welded together)

Woodburys where I picked up mine, yea they quoted me $349 + $20 wheel tax but they had one in the yard still marked $329 so they gave it to me for that but I still had to pay the $20 wheel tax... OH WELL!!

I haven't checked the price of this trailer at Northern Tool in a while. It is entirely possible that the price has gone up. They used to have this trailer on sale at least once a month. In fact, three months after I bought it for $300, they had it on sale for $270. Oh well. Still, $370 isn't a bad price for a 5x8.

Bruce, What the heck is a wheel tax? I didn't have to pay one when I bought mine.

That must be the Carry On trailer (no floor). The bolt together 5X8 on the Northern web site is $599.99. :?

I need to look into that welded trailer. Thanks for the stock number.

I would recommend going with 12" wheel. Much better on the highway for heat than the 8".

I used the 1175# trailer with 12" wheels. ;)

I notice it's called an 1195# trailer now, unless that's a typo...

Mike...
