HF axle and wheel question

Say I went with the 1195# trailer but wanted bigger tires on it. Let's say some small automobile wheels like r12's or something. Does that axle have to be beefed up or changed?

I really would like to have the bigger tires. And since my pt cruiser is rolling on 15 inchers, I wouldn't mind if they matched.
