Hello,
I am planning to build a teardrop with a custom frame with ten inches of ground clearance on 15 inch tires on a Dexter spring axle with 6 inches drop. The frame will be 2 x 2 steel tubing. Since I will be camping mainly in the Southwest and not near organized campsites I want to protect my electrical, propane and water lines. Since I will be fabricating the tube steel frame I can drill through the tubing cross members and run EMT conduit, and pipe, through them to protect these lines. I do not know what size the fittings are for propane and water lines so I can know which tubing diameter I should be drilling. Do the propane and water fittings vary a lot?
Is there a better way to protect these lines? I have some metal skills in fabrication from long ago, but am ignorant about electrical and propane usage on such a trailer and want to do this correctly the first time!
Thanks in advance,
Geneso[/u]
