Brakes on a HF trailer

Postby wingrydr57 » Sat Jan 14, 2012 5:22 pm

Hello, I am new to all this and I am in just the research stages right now. My first build is going to be on the Harbour Freight 4x8 trailer. Can I get trailer brakes for that trailer and where could I get them? I will be towing the tear drop camper with my Goldwing trike, the trike has disc brakes the rear disc brakes are actually from a Honda CRV The trike is also 61 inches wide which helps keep her glued to the road.I am hopeing to keep my build to around 500 lbs I already have some basic plans from Big Woody trailers here in wisconsin.

Thanks to all , Steve W.

I would check with http://www.trailerpart.com/ to see if they have a lightweight axle with brakes... They were able to do one for me several years ago...

Mike..
The quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten, so build your teardrop with the best materials...
