Hi Al/chamal,
A toyhauler is a combination travel trailer [caravan] and cargo trailer of
sorts. The rear section is usually a 'garage' area. Their purpose is to allow you
to take along motorcycles, dirt bikes, ATVs, scooters etc. [the 'toys']and also
have all the comforts of home with you when you go "camping".
They are usually quite large [and therefore heavy] and usually have beds that
fold up along the walls for transporting the 'toys' and then fold down into couches
/beds in 'camp' a/o queen size beds that'll lower down from the ceiling area
where they are stored.
The ones the forum members are trying to build are taking the same idea and
then do it in a small[er] package.
Use Google images and put in "american toyhauler rv", and you should get a
goodly amount of examples.
Cheers,
Norm/mezmo
