Nope. Your doing it the fancy way, most people blow a hole in them with a torch...... it gets the wire thru. 8) 8)

I can't imagine wanting to carry ballast, but it has been done even by commercial travel trailer manufacturers. I would rather plan on alternate mounting locations for some heavy components, like the battery. Speaking of lead and batteries, if there has to be more mass up somewhere, adding a battery (even if you don't really need the capacity) might be more desirable than deadweight.

The lead would be a last resort. I didn't figure in the battery,EZ-Up, etc. but am planning on the battery in back. figured up different weights and placements and axle locations. Kind of thinking axle 50" from back(ten foot long TD) as 52" would be to far forward aesthtically, in my opinion.
