Here is much easier way to fix your problem.

This also made the trailer sit 2" higher when hooked to car.
I would suggest that you still run a cross brace a cross the A frame for more srength even if you run a tube threw the center of the A frame.

So putting the tongue jack as close to the reciever is a good solution? The reciver i purchased allows for the jack to be installed into it. The issue I have with that set up is scraping the ground. So i am installing a folding stand with a wheel.
