Sell it. Welds look like 'chicken poop' (yes, that is an official welder's term!). If you did a load test or NDT (non-destructive testing) on the welds, I am CERTAIN they would fail.

Start with something you KNOW or start from scratch.

I once left a trailer on the side of the road and never looked back. That's just how it works out sometimes . . . :thumbdown:

Yeah the welds are pretty much chicken po. I am going after the axel only, the rest is going to get chopped and smelted.

A 3" axle like that is probably rated for 3500 #s.

apon a closer look it is really 2 3/8" but yes still a 3000# axel no less.
