Rear Bumper W/ Spare tire /becomes a Table

Bar is painted and hinges are bolted on. In so bolting it it made one side a little off. I will need to reem out one side so bolt will go in smoothly.

I also have made pcs that attach the bumper more firmly to the trailer body so if I have any weight on it it will not be pulled away from the body during a hard bump with all that weight in the center.

I plan to attach LED lamp brake/blinker lights on the table arms and a quick wire disconnect for when I need to shing bar out from body.

I do however still need to figure how to reinforce the tire holding device to the body so it will not sway back for forward as we Drive down the road. That will be the final step in my spare tire with table assembly.

One day I will have DSL instead of Dial up so I can more quickly put Pix on. Now I have to use my portable comeputer find a WiFi or freinds DSL wireless system to down load the pix's.

I made a simple table and mounted it on the back of the trailer. The road was so bumpy the table rubbed on the back handle.

Some connecting chain also back there which many screwed conections fell off.

I after I got to the IRG the bolts holding the table also lost nuts, I brought back up and put the table in the trailer on the return run.

I relaized I did not need the chains on until I was parked. The table should have had lock nuts on and the table should have had a cover to protect it from the handle.

I did not attach the Tire I think it would have made it but if it had fallen the chain would have not helped. When you are pulling a trailer you can not see or tell what is happening back there and I can see how a metal bumper is far superior to wood. But it is also heavyer.

How have others done with thier Tire table or swing out table?
