After looking through all of the posts on axles and their placement, I ordered a Dexter Torflex #9 axle last week. With 1500lb. rating, 60" frame width, 72" hub to hub, short spindles and electric brakes, it was delivered for just $233.58. I was expecting it to be more expensive, in fact the salesman on the phone quoted over $325.
I have placed it under my tear in the advised 35% from the rear and it seems that I have very little tongue weight.(could it be that my hatch weighs a little more than I think?)

Right now, my TD is just a shell, haven't started on the interior yet, but it just seems like I'll end up with a tail heavy trailer. I won't permanently attach the axle until I get some weight inside, so I can still fine tune it a little.
Next step is to get my doors finished and installed, then I can start on the interior. It might not be "done" for LCGIII, but it'll be there!

that is if it'll stop
