Hi Patrick,

My chassis very strong but could have been made with much lighter 2x2 box or C channel. My buddy who made it figures it would work just as well and if I had to do it again, I'd go that way too (although she tows like a dream).

All the Best,

Dave

Hi Dave, Your design looks structurally sound. One thought is hitch receivers usually fit 2" or 3" tubes. 2" x 3/16" sq. tube with diagonals would be very strong. My tongue is 3" x 1/4" tube with no diagonals and is overkill.
Enjoy, Chris

Hi Dave
My partner and I are about to start our build inspired by your beautiful teardrop. We will be getting a trailer built like yours and wondered if there was anything you would do differently?

Hi Dave,

I am a big fan of your build, I was wondering however what your wheel well or mud guard clearance ended up being?

I am going to be using the same sort of axels and suspension you did.

Cheers,
Elle
