5*10 TD on 4*8 frame: extend the frame or overhang

Postby tcolar » Mon Jul 26, 2010 12:03 pm

I'm planning to build a 5.6 * 10 TD on a 4*8 frame (over the wheels)

My questions is about the extra 2' length, is it a better idea to:

- Extend the frame to 4*10 as explained here:
http://www.tnttt.com/viewtopic.php?t=30959&highlight=4*8+5*10

- Or juts have a foot overhang over the tongue and another foot overhang at the back.

Thanks.

I'd go with that 5x8 trailer you posted the link to at Norther Tool. Even if you bump out the sides you'll have a 4' wide section by your feet...
