anyone use portawalls on trailer tires?

They are sure a lot less expensive than ww's. I don't see how the bead would seal with one installed... I like how they look though.

I am thinking about getting a couple. I have never used them before. I looked at a youtube video on how to install them. Is there a risk of flat tires because they are between the sealing surface of the wheel and tire? Will they work on a tubeless tire?

I have memories of those things never quite sticking to the outer perimeter and eventually looking like white collars flopping around the wheel. But that was back then they were a more common sight, and were seen as a cheaper way to get the "white sidewall" look.

I can't decide on trying the portawalls or trying to grind my own on a set of rwl tires. I have watched a couple of youtube videos. I am just not sure about grinding away on the sidewall of a radial.
