Windows Sources

Where have you found windows for your TD trailer?
I'm looking for replacement windows that will fit in a 18"x12" hole. The door is 1" plywood plus 1/8" oak inside.

I have the old vintage type with a knob at bottom middle. Knob operates 2 arms to crank window open.
Windows hinge at top.

All that is really broken are some small plastic wheels on the ends of the crank arms. When those break you can't crank the window open, & you can't keep the window shut. I had to duct tape the windows closed.
Alternately if I could get replacements for the arms (probably as a unit with arms & knob?) that would be great as well.

Can you remove the plastic wheels that are broken? If so maybe someone could turn new wooden wheels that would serve the purpose.

If you can provide a photo of those parts it might help.

You might be able to get some 3D printed replacements made. Know anyone with a 3D printer?

You might check this site out and see if there's a file for replacement parts... and then find someone with a 3D printer.

I will def check out these ideas.
I do not see what I need at Thingverse nor Amazon (yet?).

It's the little wheels (maybe 1/2" diameter?) at the end of the thin crank arms that slide along the bottom of the window frame.
I'll get a photo for you guys that better shows the problem parts.
Thanks, talk again soon!

I do agree with the 3D printer! My cousin uses his to make casts for his forging of metal parts. Amazing what you can do with these!

Completely concur! I use a 3D printer myself, and they're fantastic for casting metal. So adaptable!
