I've been a lurker for a month or so and figure it's time to Jump in.
I have been camping for as long as I can remember, I think every birthday party I had as a kid was at a campground.
After suffering from camper two foot disease, (16' Cygnet to 35' triple slide fiver with a one ton dually, and a few in between).
And after enjoying a motorcycle camping trip last year, I'm moving back to plain fun old camping.
My wife agrees, the big campers were too much work. (and expense)
She wanted to tent camp but after my motorcycle trip, being off the ground is a requirement for me.
I bought a set of plans for a GlenL Sequoia last year and after finding this site I got over my first cut paralysis and started building a month or so ago.
I've been reading the 'foamie' threads and have decided to go this route for my camper. (Page 151 of the 'thrifty alternative thread at the moment
)With the Sequoia, the body adds to the rigidity of the frame. Because I'm using foam for the construction, I decided to make a heavier floor to add stiffness and not pop the foam seams.
