Hello Everyone! from Central Texas

Postby TXgert » Tue May 21, 2013 8:18 pm

Hello there, I am the new owner of a 7 X 12 Cargo Mate. It was put together as a Food Concession trailer, but the customer never came back to pick it up! It has an Air conditioner roof mounted, insulated and finished walls with plenty of plugs, electrical box at front with a cut out to pass cord through. 6' window with two service windows that have screens or can open to pass food through. I am planning on using this as my RV! I was looking for a small RV, but a life happened and my good credit is not so good (to buy an RV) but I was able to get this beauty... in my favorite color! I find it hard to work at work, I just can't wait to get back on the forum and search some more and learn so I can quit planning and start putting it all together.

welcome to this great site I would suggest you go to cargo section down in build section and get lots of ideals. well sounds like you got a great start you put in a tented piece of plexy glass in the six foot opening and open the hatch up and you would have a killer view.

Thanks for the welcome, I'll take a photo of the window and awning open later. It already has glass and screens. Each end has a 2' section with screen that slides open, which leaves a solid section about 4' Picture window. Yes it will be a great view and with the "counter" attached will have a place to set things down on when outside, or pass through to inside without opening the door! they also have a small latch, but will fine tune those for security and airflow later.

Nice.

I seen factory ones that car buffs and racing fans use with canvas fold out side beds.
Those are usually bigger trailer, but now you see them added to smaller CT.

Gl on your build. :) and Welcome to the forums.
