Yet another clueless noobie joining the sight to take advantage of the wealth of information you folks possess.

My names T.C. and I live out here in the pacific northwest (Tacoma, WA). As you can guess from my user name I'm a hiking and backpacking fanatic but also love travel and exploring the country. I got turned on to teardrops as a possible lightweight option for me to tow out into the mountains to get early starts on my hikes or just make long weekends in places.

I'm thinking I'll end up buying one instead of making it(really like the price of the TC Teardrops) but I want to make sure I have the options and configuration that will work best for me the first time.

Hope to get a chance to talk to everyone on the various topics soon!

Welcome! Building is much more fun then buying. Maybe building a tear is not for everyone but if you have any diy experience, you should consider it. That's just my opinion.

Welcome T.C.,

You might consider attending a gathering in your area to check out all the possibilities. You'll see a lot of great ideas, can tour both home made and factory teardrops and meet some of the best people on earth. :D :D :D

All the Best,

Dave
