My wife and I both grew up along Lake Michigan, and spent a lot of time camping and traveling with our families as kids, so we want that for our kids as well. And though we spent our childhoods in tents, we think it will be fun to show the kids more of the country than just MI. So we are beginning our search for our first camper!
I have a degree in product design and have been designing and building furniture for about 5 years now as a hobby, so my skillset and my shop are ready for a challenge! I am considering a resto as well as a full custom build from the ground up, though as of late, I'm leaning toward restoration.
I hope to gather as much info from you guys and gals as possible, and I look forward to hopefully meeting some of you along the road as well!
Oh, and if you're selling a 10 to 14 ft scotty, shasta or other similar project from the 1950's to mid 1960's (more ham than bread loaf) let me know! I may just take it off your hands!
