Hi y'all! I decided to register after spending way too much time reading your posts. I'm Barbara from New Orleans. I don't have a teardrop or any camper yet, but I really, really want one bad. Unfortunately, I'm still saving for it (on disability). Teardrops are too adorable, but I wonder if it's practical for a disabled individual. I use a walker (occasionally a wheelchair.) I'm also a BIG girl.

Thanks for letting me join and "Laissez les bons temps rouler."

Welcome! My recommendation is to see a Teardrop in person to see if it would work for you. Either check them out at a gathering, or go to a dealer and look at one, or if there is one for rent in the area, rent one and try it.

Hi Barbara from New Orleans, welcome to the forum. My wife was a Big girl, was in a wheel chair most of the time and used a walker as well. She loved our teardrop lifestyle, and I am sure you will too. Teardroppers are a different breed, than most of the big rig camper folks. We are all about helping each other out, and I am sure if you get involved with some of the gatherings, all you will have to do is show up, and your new-found teardrop friends will assist you in getting backed in, un-hooked, leveled and invite you to share their nightly campfires. Go for it, check out the local teardroppers, and you will see what I mean. I assure you, you will meet some "Perfect Strangers". Good luck.

Hi there

I too am disabled and although I haven't tried it I think getting in and out could be easier than either a tent or a traditional caravan as the doorway is about sitting height. I am also a big lad and still think it will be easier.

Good luck,
