New Guy From Encinitas CA

Postby Roger Manning Jr » Tue Sep 03, 2013 7:16 pm

Hello All,

My name is Roger I'm in Encinitas CA, I'm getting ready to build a teardrop and joined here today.

I have a lot of research to do and I will ask a bunch of questions along the way.

I own a cabinet and millworks shop in San Marcos CA so the wood part off the project will be no problem for me but there is a lot of the other stuff I will need help with.

Welcome to the forum Roger,
I worked in two cabinet shops in Solona Beach in the 70's & 80's.
Great area you live in.

Hey Danny,

What shops did you work at in Solona Beach? I worked for Bill Barber in the 90's

We lived in Encinitas way back in 70. Had a small house on San Elijo Dr. Our rent was 95 bucks a month. We could see Swami's and the state beach campgrounds from our front yard. I was an embalmer at the Encinitas Mortuary. We were there a few year ago and it has really changed. All the big money has moved in. The little house is long gone. A lot of the hippie, vegan, 60s throwbacks are still there, selling tie dye and pyramids that emit "chi". Far Out, Man!!
