Tired of this pop-up

Postby oakinteriors1 » Wed Sep 04, 2013 9:08 am

We bought this Dutchman tent trailer new in 94... which is getting old , I gutted the inside about 8 yrs ago and laid new linoleum down and changed the floor plan built cabinets etc....just tired of of a pop-up..The wife would like something you just walk into. So All I need to do is sell her on this idea of building something using the frame from the pop-up..... Any teardrops in the Kansas City area?

I am a cabinet maker for over 30 yrs.... I've also been building kayaks for a few yrs now... and this would be a good winter project..........

I am in the drawing board phase of using a old popup camper frame. the box on mine was 13'x6'-8". sounds like you have more than enough experience in wood working to get the job done.
Making big pieces of wood into the wrong size..... for over 30 years....

Welcome to you and Slug The good thing about pop up trailers is you can build were you sleep cross ways and gives you lots of room to move around like a standy Well good luck to you both keep us in touch with builds when you start
