NewB from Tx- NE DFW Area

Vickie and I (CJ) bought this 2012 teardrop couple days ago
we are both from the NE DFW area near plano. we have allot of plans to see the country pulling this. we need to add some stuff but we planned on it.

We are going to call it the Wolfs Lair or Shagys Lair. it goes with her silver or my black SS. came with a a/c-heater that hooks up to the side and it has a remote. has a small boat battery but putting in a yellow top optima. it has pillows in the cabin but we are putting in a 5 lb 3 inch memory foam topper w cover. we will put a small square tent on the side by door to eat and change in. put a small table and and use it all this next summer and before. will add buddy bearings on the wheels for a lil extra cushion on long trips.

it weighs less than 400 lbs and will pull nicely behind either. very nicely built and very water tight. we hooked up the a/c and in less than 15 min it had the cabin nice and cool.

i cant wait to use it. texas has 90 parks and a year pass for 2 is $95 and for seniors it is half that. almost all have camp sites w electricity and the plug on the side by a/c charges battery and runs the unit.
has a spare and already wired for a electric top exhaust as well but dont need it. very water tight and well made and the door was awesome w sliding glass on both sides and curtains
we can visit friends and relatives and just park it and plug in and sleep in our lil teardrop
only paid 3500 for everything and he threw in a port a potty

Nice trailer, nice car. Welcome to TnTTT. I recognize you from another website, chevyhhr.net http://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/index.php, that I also belong to. I built my 4x8 intending to tow it with my HHR Panel, or my wife's Cobalt, but built too much into it of too heavy materials...well, it ended up at 1438 lbs, so I'll be towing with a pickup instead. I'm located southwest of Arlington, but work in Plano...I might've seen you on the road sometime. Maybe we'll meet at a trailer gathering : I'm attending my first one at Dinosaur Valley SP in a coupla weeks, and intend to make more in the future (if not banned by the South Central community). See you out there sometime.

Welcome CJ and Vickie
You look like you have a cute TD there.
I am sure you will have a lot of fun with it!
Sandi and I have just enjoyed our first camping season with ours (Miss Piggy).....towing it over 10.000 miles so far this summer and sleeping in it 41 nights so far.
Do get to a "Gathering" though! You will meet some really nice folks and someone to share your share your TD enthusiasm with.
Good Roads

Still have both the HHR (110k miles) and the Cobalt (40k). Also, I still want to be able to tow with them (trailer build #2 ?), but the HHR is driven 120 miles, hard, daily, and may not last without a transplant 'til then (starting to get some CELs). Lighter materials (I/2 ply or ?foam/filon?) may be the next step. I'll have my wife look up the Facebook link (I'm not a social media type-enthusiasts forums excluded-still looking for an anti-social network).
