Tear Drop Newbie from Houston TX

Postby Patchdog » Wed Sep 25, 2013 7:02 pm

Hello all! Newbie from Houston Texas. Thinking about building a teardrop for me and my sons deer hunting trips. If any one has built any good deer slayer rigs please point me in the right direction.

Thanks
Preston

Let me see, deer slayer rigs.

My 1989 Dodge Caravan does a good job slaying deer. There a funny rig on a jeep forum. It is a pickup truck bed with a topper on it. Has power, tables, Beds, even a recliner. He just tows it out to a field and uses it as a deer stand.

Look up at top at the Hall of fame link. Lot of teardrop picture in there for you to pick your favorite style. All you need to do is make it your own and customize one to your hunting needs.

Patchdog, Welcome glad to hear from another deer hunter. You might want to look in the foamie section in the earlier thrifty thread and check out GPW s gallery because he has a really neat Hunter special!!! The picts are about 45 or 50 picts back in his album but I plan to make one similar to put down on the property as a blind/tent/ place to keep warm. I am building it out of foam and going to put it up on concrete blocks. I am making it out of foam with a foam over wood floor just one door . listen I could go on forever but my son killed two 8 pointers on the property last year so .................I will be hunting this year. Welcome , again to the crazey idea of teardrops, at least that is what you will think after you have built one.
