Hello from Knoxville TN

Postby TN_teardrop » Wed Nov 20, 2013 6:57 pm

Hello everyone,

So I have been lurking in the depths for about 2 years, reading your posts, watching your progresses, and dreaming of starting my own project. Well, I decided I could either continue to dream or get off the pot (as stated in the post "So you think you want a Tear") I have now officially begun my 1st Teardrop project. I decided I wanted to do everything that I possibly could on my own. I have attached a few pictures of the trailer frame that I built entirely except for the axles (cheaper to buy, than build my own? go figure) The measurements on my teardrop is going to be 6' wide by 10' long. I know this is a little large for a teardrop but I thought that if I was going to do it and the tow vehicle wasn't a concern I would like to have more space? May have made a mistake but at this point I have to live with it? My profile of choice is the Gruman profile. I will have a 2' area in front of my cabin for dual propane tanks and a couple days worth of firewood.

I am fortunate enough to live at the foothills of the Great Smoky Mtn. National Park. I am building my camper to be of dual purposes. Spring and Summer will be strictly be me and my wife, while the Fall and Winter will be myself on the occasional hunting trips.

I would like to thank everyone involved with this forum because without you I would not have known where to even start. I can't wait to hear more from everyone! Thanks again

Jeff

Man Jeff that looks nice already.

When you ready to make the saw dust fly you might want to start a build thread in the build journal area. You can freeance or link your induction thread so people know who you are. You dont have to but it just help other out later down the read when they looking for that picture they saw in a build thread and cant find it anywhere in the build section. your post in this area will quickly get moved to page 3, 4, 6, . . as newbies keep popping in.

Keep us posted and Welcome.
