Hello from SoCal

Postby Tabitha » Tue Feb 25, 2014 9:55 am

Hello my name is Tabitha. My husband and I just got our teardrop in February. What an ordeal that was, we had a very bad builder but that's a story for another thread. We are working on rebuilding it and we love having it. :) I've always loved them and airstreams and since this fits our camping style more we went with our little trailer.
Someday, we will learn to take living in stride. Sometime, we will learn to pay less attention to the imagined and stop fussing about things we had nothing to do with in the past - and cannot change significantly in the future. Very soon, we will sit together in the sun a whole day and just be happy that we can sit together in the sun all day and just be happy.

Hello Tabitha. So where abouts in SoCal are you? (it's ok to tell us what city you live in). Good luck with the rebuild. If your interested, the following links show how I built a teardrop and how I restored (rebuilt) a teardrop. Feel free to take a look

Welcome aboard Tabitha, from another So Calif teardropper. You've got to be sure to touch bases with Gage, as he is "Mister Teardrop" and can show you how to do your repairs and direct you to suppliers needed. Since you are so close, you gotta come to the Lake Perris (Calif) Gathering in March 27th to the 30th. Over 100 teardrops will be there, Gage and me, included. Good luck, and be sure to bring your trailer, no matter what condition it is in. I look forward to meeting you.

Thank you Roly. I've been chatting with Gage and I'm tickled he's in my dirt so I can be a pest and pick his brain.  We are planning to come out to the Lake Perris Gathering I sent out our registration Wednesday and we are looking forward to meeting everyone. We will be bringing the trailer and hopefully the weather will cooperate and I can fix some things before we come out if not that's okay too at least the bed is comfy and the galley is 95% done. :D Got our cocktail flag and pitcher just waiting for cool libations. :wine:

I just finished the first video on our trailer so when it's up on youtube I'll share the link too. We are going to make one during each stage of fixing it too. :pictures:
