Not an owner but...

Postby fflutterffly » Tue Jul 22, 2014 12:42 pm

As an avid fly angling woman I am intrigued by the ingenuity of all the members. I read several articles, thanks to Hankeye a fishing pal, yet I am relegated to tents and hotels due to me extreme dislike of 55 miles per hour in California for towing! In my twenties I had a little make shift I built up, some 40 years ago, but as the year are passing me to greyer and greyer I think how great it would be to have a utility home that can be perched at the side of a stream, extend my stays at rivers and even take comfort to trips up and down the pacific coast. Another problem I have is storage! None. No place to build no where for it to live. I envy you all!!!!
Looking forward to experiencing the designs of TnTTT!

Exactly that purpose is what I got mine for, I love the fly fishing.. and where I mainly go is about 4-6 hrs from home and a motel gets pricey at near a $100 per nite. Now I just camp at the lake or river.
I fear the day that technology will surpass our human interaction, the world will have a generation of idiot's.

Ariel welcome to this great site do you know someone with big lot (Gated area) ask if you can store a trailer there. Thats what I do my best friend has a big lot and stores trailers for friends and its only about 1/4 mile from where I stay they have a space here to store trailers but everyone that stores them here gets tagged by some little punks that have no respect for others property

I think when I do purchase I'll have to get a stripped down model and wing it. It's really the towing that holds me back. I hate taking the time to get to where I want to be. Your suggestions about finding a 'big lot' are hard to come by in Los Angeles, but It's a good place to start. Much Appreciated. Another question: How much do these little jobs run?

Prices seem to vary a lot. Mine is one Little Guy put out that is just the shell. The cabin is maybe 6 feet long inside and 4 wide. A shelf for a galley no electric water cabinets nothing, one door and a window on the other side. Bought new a little over $4000 2009.
As much fun as I am having with my Little Guy and as much as I love it there are a few wants that I may add some day. A place to plug the electric cord in when I have electric so I don't have to run the extension cord through the hatch and a second door and a larger cargo area up front since I would like to carry a battery for when I do not have electric. But it is now loaded with fun and memories but still just a shell.
